Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park is one of the most beautiful lakes. For this reason, this place can be very touristic from time to time, which depends very much on the time of the day and the season. It's not as touristic as Lake Louise in Banff National Park though.

Parking is just nearby and you should definitely walk the Emerald Lake Trail, to see the lake from different perspectives.

Beautiful shot! It is good to get a look at the mountains up there! We were there in August, during the first day of the smoke. We could tell there was a mountain and a glacier, but it was not at all clear. I recommend going in spring or early summer to avoid the smoke, which seems to be getting worse each year.

This is Emerald Lake, not Esmeralda. It is in Yoho rather than Banff, so please make sure to have linked here correctly, as people going to the pin on the map would end up at the shores of Lake Louise. But an absolutely amazing spot, can totally recommend Emerald Lake.
