It is a great place at day, but the lighting at night is phenomenal!
I would truly recommend coming in the evening/night and take a nice long exposure shot to smooth the water.
There are a lot of small and big boats an the river so you might have to wait for a longer period of time if you don't want a distracting boat in your shoot.

Travel Information
Take metro number 2 to Batthyány tér and you are there. It is very easy to get there ;)
