A moderate hike with substantial steep elevation gain is required to access this spot.

You will need a 4x4 vehicle to access the camp at Landamannalaugar. Depending on where you are coming from there could be multiple river fords to cross. There is camping, showers, a hot pot, and a supply store during certain months of the year.
