Netherlands Hofvijver The Hague

The Hofvijver (Court Pond) is situated in the centre of The Hague and offers a beautiful view over the old Parliament, the tower of the Dutch PM and adjacent Mauritius. It is adjoined in the east by the Korte Vijverberg, in the south by the Binnenhof and the Mauritshuis, in the west by the Buitenhof and in the north by the Lange Vijverberg from which you can take leisurely your photos or just have a seat and enjoy the view. In the middle of the pond, there is a small unnamed island with flora and fauna, it is usually referred to as "the island in the Vijverberg".

Wide angle, tripod. From any point surrounding the pond, you can stroll and take your photos at leisure. At night the buildings are well lit so you should consider late pm and evening for your shot. From each point, it offers different views, especially from the corner of Buitenhof where you get the new rising towers of the ministries in the background.

In the underground parking lot right next to the spot, otherwise, this spot is within walking distance from The Hague Central Station.
